Tarmac Specialists Leeds!
At Prestigious Driveways we install a type of asphalt called Stone Mastic Asphalt (SMA) also known as Stone-Matrix Asphalt. SMA is a combination of mastic bitumen, coarse aggregates, fillers, binding agents and fibre. SMA is smooth and clean and does not break down easily, so less risk of picking up grit on the bottom of your footwear and carrying it indoors where it can cause damage to your flooring.
Our tarmac drives are relatively quick to install, available in black or red, and add kerb appeal to your property. A tarmac drive looks particularly effective when installed with a block-paved driveway entrance pattern.
We cover the whole of the Buckinghamshire area, including Bletchley, Deanshanger, Milton Keynes, Monkston, Newport Pagnell, Newton Longville, Towcester, and Willen.

Tarmac Driveway Frequently Asked Questions
How long will a tarmac driveway last?
A tarmac drive is a good choice if you are looking for a durable, long-lasting surface. You can expect a well installed tarmac drive to last approximately 15 years however there are a number of factors that can impact the lifespan of your asphalt drive.
How soon can I drive on my new tarmac drive installation?
When we finish your tarmac drive installation we will tape it off for you and make recommendations for you to avoid driving or parking on your driveway for at least 3 days, and preferably 5 day. This allows for the tarmac to set properly.
Will weeds grow in my tarmac drive?
There are steps that you can take to avoid weeds growing on your tarmac drive. Generally, weeds should be minimal if the drive has been installed professionally with good groundwork, however occasionally it is possible for weeds to grow, particularly at the edges of your driveway where they meet lawns or flowerbeds. Sometimes surface weeds can grow where dirt or soil has been allowed to accumulate on the surface which is why is it important to carry our regular inspections and maintenance of your tarmac drive, sweeping away any debris, dust or soil from the surface. If the weed growth has not penetrated the surface of your tarmac you should simply remove the weed gently by hand. If the weed is growing through the surface of the tarmac then it is best to treat the weed with a water based weed killer. Once the leaves have died off they should be gently removed without damaging the surface of the tarmac.
Is tarmac cheaper than block-paving?
Yes, generally tarmac drives are cheaper to install than block paved drives.
